Fun Family Organizer
Keeping family cards, notes, invitations, art projects and all the rest organized can be frustrating, if it’s out of sight it’s out of mind, so here is a great way to keep it organized, tidy and current. Shutter wall organizers have never been so cool!
- 1-3 louvered shutters
- Medium grit sandpaper
- Latex paint
- Paint brush
- Mounting hardware for your wall such as (screws and finish washers)
- Any shutter you use that has an adjustable louver will need to have it secured. Secure the louver in the up position by driving a brad through the tilt bar into the frame of the shutter; this will keep it in place.
- Next you want to sand, prime and then paint your shutters in your favorite colors or color, don’t be afraid to be creative by mixing, matching, faux painting or distressing! Match the finish to your décor.
- Use a level to mark the position of your shutter, if you’re using three shutters, mark the middle shutter location first. Drill a pilot hole in the shutter and the wall; mount with hardware such as screws and washers to give it a finished look. For a more rustic look you can use rust colored large head nails. Repeat this process with your additional shutter panels until finished.
