Lotion bars are a great way to moisturize your skin without having to use lotion. Just rub the bar over dry skin, and the natural temperature of your body will soften and absorb the lotion within minutes. It's an easy way to treat your skin after a shower or relaxing bath!

Ingredients & Supplies

  • 1 cup Kirkland Signature™ Virgin Coconut Oil

  • 1 cup Shea Butter

  • ½ cups Beeswax (you can use beeswax pastilles or grated beeswax)

  • 2 tsp. Vitamin E Oil

  • 20 drops of your favorite essential oil(s)

  • Silicone Soap Molds

  • Large glass Mason jar

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in a large mason jar with lid on.

  2. Put jar in a pot of boiling water until ingredients are melted. Once melted, carefully remove from water and mix contents by swirling the jar. (It will be hot, so use proper safety precautions)

  3. Pour into silicone molds and let sit up to six hours until fully cured and hard. If its summer and you don't have air conditioning, you may find it takes longer to solidify, if it hardens at all. You can always pop them in the refrigerator, too

  4. Pop the bars out of your molds, and you are ready to moisturize. These also make great gifts for friends!

NOTE: If it gets too hot in your home, coconut oil can melt - so make sure your bars are stored somewhere that won't turn into a big mess if your A/C breaks down.
